BENTON, Mo. -- Geraldine Florence "Gerri" Powell, 70, of Benton died Sunday, April 25, 2021, at her home.

She was born Nov. 29, 1950, to Otto And Zita Heuring Brucker. She married Gordan Powell on April 17, 1999.

Gerri worked at Lowes for the past 20 years and had previously worked at Saint Francis Medical Center for 25 years and the assessor's office for 14 years. She was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton.

She is survived by her husband, Gordan; a son, Terry (Sarah) Burford of New Hamburg, Missouri; daughter, Kim (Ben) Hanvy of St. Louis; stepson, Gordan Tyler Powell of LaQuinta, California; stepdaughter, Tory (Seth) Lyon of Jackson; brother, Tom (Pam) Brucker of Rockford, Michigan; sister, Marilyn (Paul) Burford of Benton; and four grandchildren, Sam and Zach Hanvy, Parker Burford and Alexis Lewallen.

Gerri was preceded in death by a daughter, Deanna Burford, and a brother, Mike Brucker.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton.

The funeral service will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel.
