FROHNA, Mo. -- Geraldine Steffens, 84, of Frohna died April 13, 2014, at Independence Care Center of Perry County in Perryville, Mo.
She was born April 24, 1929, in St. Louis, daughter of Pink and Daisy York Johnson. She and Henry Fulton were married Sept. 24, 1949. He preceded her in death May 17, 1988. She and Leo Steffens were married July 23, 1993.
Geraldine was a third-grade teacher with the Meadow Heights School District in Patton, Mo. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and East Perry County Senior Center in Altenburg, Mo. She enjoyed square dancing, traveling and playing all kinds of card games.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Curtis (LeahAnn) Fulton; a daughter, Bonnie (Mark) Bradfield, all of Sedgewickville, Mo.; a stepdaughter, Linda (Don) Palisch of Altenburg, Mo.; three stepsons, Vaughn (Colleen) Steffens, Daniel (Lori) Steffens and Randall (Emily) Steffens, all of Frohna; eight stepgrandchildren; eight great-stepgrandchildren; a great-great-stepgrandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband; and a stepgrandson, Zachary Steffens.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 6:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Church, with the Rev. Jonathan Stites officiating. Burial will be in Patton Methodist Cemetery at Patton, Mo.
Memorials are preferred to Immanuel Lutheran Church Choir in Altenburg.
