CAIRO, Ill. -- Gladys H. Finch, 97, of Cairo died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 1995, at the Collinsville Care Center in Collinsville. She was born Jan. 19, 1898, in Cairo, the daughter of William and Clara Walder Hodge. She was a member of the Cairo Business and Professional Womens Club. CAIRO, Ill. -- Gladys H. Finch, 97, of Cairo died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 1995, at the Collinsville Care Center in Collinsville.

She was born Jan. 19, 1898, in Cairo, the daughter of William and Clara Walder Hodge.

She was a member of the Cairo Business and Professional Womens Club. She was of the Methodist denomination and attended the Cairo Pentecostal Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Finch; a daughter, Mae Jean Milligan; two brothers and a sister.

She is survived by two grandsons and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo, where funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Robert Burchyette will officiate, and burial will be in the U.S. National Cemetery in Mound City.
