BENTON, Mo. -- Glenda Faye Hughes, 73, of Benton died Monday, Sept. 6, 2021, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born July 13, 1948, in East Prairie, Missouri, to Noel Hugh and Dona Lee Mitchem Lynch.
She was an in-home caretaker for SADI and a member of Unity Baptist Church in Benton.
She is survived by two sons, Keith Shelton of Benton and Wendel "DeWight" (Laurie) Shelton of Lubbock, Texas; daughter, Doris Faye Hughes of Benton; brother, Alfred O'Guinn of Bald Knob, Arkansas; four sisters, Lula Bell Rogers and Janice Marie Brewer of Benton, Susie Blanche Kelch of Parker, Colorado, and Brenda Joy McElroy of Diehlstadt, Missouri; five grandchildren, Jared Shelton, Thomas "Dakota" Harper, Galen Lemmink, Jacey Shelton and Jordn Shelton; and two great-grandchildren, Kasen Shelton and Tammie Shelton.
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Unity Baptist Church in Benton.
Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. Dennis Lowe officiating. Burial will be in Unity Baptist Cemetery.
