Glendon Dale Bowers, 74, of Danville, Ind., formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 1994, at Hendricks County Hospital in Danville.
He was born Nov. 1, 1919, in Roswell, N.M., son of Renzo D. and Lola Bowers. He and Fern Volpp were married Nov. 25, 1942.
Bowers was retired from Shield of Shelter Insurance. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Danville, Optimist Club and Western Star Lodge 26 F&MA. He was a veteran of World War II, and member of 111th Engineers, 36th Texas Division.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Marilyn Bowers of Key West, Fla.; two sons, Bruce Bowers of Crawfordsville, Ind., Dennis Bowers of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Barbara Peck of Sharpsburg, Ky., and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
