PERRYVILLE, Mo. — Glennon D. Geile, 85, of Perryville died Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Crystal City, Mo.
He was born May 3, 1923, at Silver Lake, Mo., son of Theodore and Alice French Geile. He and Ella Joy were married June 24, 2000.
Geile retired from General Motors. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and VFW Post 2210 in Ste. Genevieve, Mo.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Rickie Geile of Oklahoma; four daughters, Glenda Vietor of St. Peters, Mo., Barbara Weisenhan of St. Charles, Mo., Phylis Moneltone of Brentwood, Tenn., Dawn Adams of Illinois; two stepdaughters, Darla Roemerman of Shawnee, Kan., Carla Rellergert of Conifer, Colo.; two stepsons, Randall Rellergert of Perryville and Bo Wise of Farmington, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three great-stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to service time Saturday at Young and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Matthew Marks officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery with military graveside service provided by VFW.
