Golden M. Flentge 85, died Friday, July 7, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center. She was born Aug. 26, 1909, in Jackson, the daughter of Aga J. and Mary Schuette Flentge. Golden M. Flentge 85, died Friday, July 7, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center. She was born Aug. 26, 1909, in Jackson, the daughter of Aga J. and Mary Schuette Flentge.

She was a retired schoolteacher, having taught for 50 years in schools in Illinois and Missouri, including elementary schools and the junior high school in Cape Girardeau. She grew up in Jackson and graduated from Jackson High School and Southeast Missouri State University. She held a bachelor's degree in education and received a master's degree in music from Illinois Wesleyan University.

During World War II she worked at two hospitals in Milwaukee.

She was an active member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau and played piano for the men's Sunday School class.

Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.

Funeral services wil be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel, with the Rev. Neil Stein officiating. Burial will be at the Old City Cemetery in Jackson.
