JACKSON -- Funeral for Gregory W. Elfrink of Jackson will be held at 2 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. The Rev. Mike Harrison will officiate. Burial will be in New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery near Pocahontas.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 1-2 p.m.

Elfrink, 77, died Tuesday, March 30, 1999, at his home.

He was born May 30, 1921, in Oran, son of Benjamin and Christine Beal Elfrink. He and Elnora E. Harrison were married May 19, 1948.

Elfrink had farmed in the Chaffee area, worked at Stokeley's Canning Factory in Owosso, Mich., and retired in 1978 from General Motors Oldsmobile Plant in Lansing, Mich.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Gerald Elfrink of Jackson; two brothers, Ambrose Elfrink of Montgomery City, Casper Elfrink of New Florence; two sisters, Mary Glasser of Kelso, and Martha Weissmueller of Chaffee.

He was preceded in death by a sister.
