Gretchen L. "Granny Goose" Wilson, 79, of Jackson passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Jan. 7, 1931, in Allentown, Pa., daughter of Herman A. and Mamie Mullinax Love. Gretchen worked at the Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster, Calif., many years. Gretchen L. "Granny Goose" Wilson, 79, of Jackson passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Jan. 7, 1931, in Allentown, Pa., daughter of Herman A. and Mamie Mullinax Love.

Gretchen worked at the Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster, Calif., many years. She moved to Jackson in 1995, and had been a resident of Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau the past two years.

Loving survivors include four sons, Steven J. (Monica) Wilson and David W. (Fabiola "Fab") Wilson, all of Palmdale, Calif., Keith A. Wilson of Mojave, Calif., and Jim (Donna) Wilson of Jackson; three daughters, Gretchen Marie "Re" Ramos of Irvine, Calif., Diane L. (Leroy) Schroeder of Palmdale, Patricia M. "Trish" (Mike) Walter of Quartz Hill, Calif.; three siblings, Hiram A. Love of Santa Clarita, Calif., Barbara Lucas of San Fernando Valley, Calif., Wink Love of Grass Valley, Calif.; 18 grandchildren; more than a dozen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Margaret Love.

Friends may call from noon to service time Friday at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mike Huffman officiating. Interment will be in Fairmount Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
