SIKESTON -- Harley A. Roach, 79, of Sikeston died Wednesday, April 22, 1998, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born March 29, 1919, in Mississippi County, son of John and Rosie Mary Elizabeth Evans Roach. He and Nettie Lorene Thompson were married July 6, 1940. She died Feb. 15, 1981.
Roach was a self-employed farmer and carpenter, retiring in 1981.
Survivors include a son, Larry Roach of Sikeston; three daughters, Betty Pruitt of Bloomfield, Linda Mikels and Barbara Fetters of Sikeston; two brothers, J.D. Roach of Sikeston, Richard Roach of Matthews; three sisters, Jano Williams of East Prairie, Billie Blyze of Pevely, Mary Bishop of Bloomsdale; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son and three brothers.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home after 4:30 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Burl Britt officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.
