WHITEWATER -- Funeral service for Harold Wilson Rhodes of Farmington was held Wednesday at Taylor Funeral Chapel in Farmington. The Rev. Kevin Miller officiated, with burial in St. Charles Memorial Gardens Cemetery at St. Charles.

Rhodes, 71, died Saturday, Sept. 2, 1995, at Farmington, from injuries received in an automobile accident.

He was born March 1, 1924, at Whitewater, son of Charles Pinkney and Etta Leora Rhodes. He married the former Ruth Willadean Long. She preceded him in death.

Rhodes retired as an automobile assembler with General Motors. He was a member of Washita Baptist Church at Farmington.

Survivors include two sons, Richard Rhodes of DeSoto, Randy Rhodes of Arnold; five sisters, Louella Nothdurft of Cape Girardeau, LaVerne Langston of Hazelwood, Marie Withers of Florissant, Jenny Flowers and Lucille Kidd of Delta; two brothers, Willard Rhodes of Ferguson, Leonard Rhodes of Arnold; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
