Harry A. Clough, 88, of Jackson passed away Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

He was born Nov. 6, 1923, in Maysville, Ill., to Roy O. and Grace Dodds Clough.

Harry served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1945 and was a POW in Germany.

He was a printer with Trio Manufacturing Co. 24 years. Harry was an avid golfer, loved spending time with his family and cherished his grandchildren and great-grandson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Betty J. Blevins Clough of Jackson; a sister, Mae Lightle of rural Griggsville, Ill.; a grandson, Jason (Lavonna) Biddle; a great-grandson, Ryaan Biddle; a nephew, John Clough of Griggsville; a niece, Nola Brown (Ray) of rural Griggsville; a great-niece, Katherine Clark of California; and a sister-in-law, Ruby Williams of Cape Girardeau.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Sherry Biddle; a brother, Alfred Clough; and grandson, Brian Biddle.

Visitation will be Sunday from 2 p.m. until service time at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 4 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bryan Schaefer officiating. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Ellington Home Cemetery in Quincy, Ill.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the Red Cross or Salvation Army.
