BLOOMFIELD -- Funeral service for Harry Porter, Bloomfield Route 1, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. The Rev. David Light will officiate, with burial in Oak Ridge Church Cemetery near Aquilla.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. to service time.
Porter, 46, died Tuesday, July 11, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 25, 1949, at Dexter, son of James E. and Anna Reffert Porter. He and Pam Smith were married Aug. 8, 1982, at Dexter.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Gary Ferguson of LaCrosse, Wis., Harry Porter Jr. of the home; two daughters, Betina Abernathy of Perryville, Amanda Porter of the home; his father of Dexter; a brother, Hans Porter of Dexter; three sisters, Henny Vandiver of St. Charles, Ill., Ingrid Porter and Marianna Burge of Dexter, and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother and paternal grandmother.
