DUTCHTOWN -- Funeral mass for Harry W. Obermann of Dutchtown will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson. Msgr. Edward Eftink will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park at Cape Girardeau.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7.
Obermann, 97, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born March 1, 1895, at Dutchtown, son of Henry and Mary Mier Obermann. He and Adela M. Schneider were married April 14, 1921.
Obermann farmed in the area most of his life, and was employed by Little River Drainage District from 1920-73. He was a lifelong member of the former St. Edward's Catholic Church here, and current member of Immaculate Church in Jackson.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, H.W. Obermann of Chesterfield, Russell Obermann of Cape Girardeau; 10 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, three brothers and three sisters.
