SCOTT CITY -- Hazel B. Estes, 87, of Scott City died Sunday, Sept. 20, 1998, at her home.

She was born March 19, 1911, at Cape Girardeau, daughter of Ezra and Elizabeth Roe Cowan. She and Floyd Noel Estes were married July 29, 1926, at Jonesboro, Ill. He died Dec. 25, 1996.

She was a homemaker.

She was a charter member of Christian Faith Fellowship in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include five sons, Jack Estes of Perryville, Donnie, Carl and Kim Estes, all of Scott City, and Lloyd Estes of Cape Girardeau; four daughters, Mary Nickless of Boonville, Ind., Shirley Dalton of St. Louis, Arnell Carbaugh of Cape Girardeau and Becky Miles of Chandler, Ind.; 21 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son, three brothers, a half sister and a grandson.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Scott City from 4 to 8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Mark Carbaugh will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
