HELEN BROWN

Helen Brown, 88, 1213 Sailer Circle, died Tuesday, May 5, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born Feb. 10, 1904, in Eldora, Iowa, daughter of Charles and Hattie Simpson Stauffer. She married Dr. Richard C. Brown Feb. 26, 1932, in Eldora. He died Sept. 13, 1976.

Brown was a graduate of the University of Minnesota. She was a member of Tri Delta sorority, Beta Sigma Phi sorority, and Christ Episcopal Church. She was an organizer of the Tri Delta chapter at Southeast Missouri State University.

Survivors include cousins.

Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the gazebo at Memorial Park, with the Rev. Patricia Williams officiating.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 5-7 p.m. today.
