PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Helen L. Hayden, 89, died Monday, April 8, 2002, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 8, 1913, in St. Louis, daughter of Bernard and Rosa Mary Hoffman Cissell. She and J. Edward "Red" Hayden were married Nov. 22, 1932, at Brewer, Mo.
Hayden had worked at International Shoe Co. She was a member of Daughters of Isabella, Ladies of Charity, and Knights of Columbus Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Marge Carron and Deloris Monier of Perryville, Jerry Wingerter of Chester, Ill., Barbara LeCompte of St. Louis; two sons, Kenneth and Norman Hayden of Cape Girardeau; 30 grandchildren; and 69 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters.
Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and 6:30-9:50 a.m. Thursday. The Daughters of Isabella and parish wake will be at 7 p.m. The rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Thursday.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Joe Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
