Helen B. Little, 97, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center.

She was born Oct. 3, 1921, in Millwood, Missouri, to Russell and Opal Mudd Clem. She and John Little were married July 19, 1941, at Millwood. He preceded her in death in 1985.

She was a teacher at Alma Schrader Elementary School in Cape Girardeau for more than 20 years and was retired from the teachers association.

She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and St. Vincent Women's Council. She also volunteered at Birthright.

Survivors include her three daughters, Susan (Bill) Vickery, Mary Obergoenner and Ann (Danny) Dewrock, all of Cape Girardeau; three sons, Joe (Kay) Little of Goodyear, Arizona, Dan (Cookie) Little of Cape Girardeau and Tom (Donna Knight) Little of Springville, Tennessee; 10 grandchildren, Barb (Mark) Fisher of Uniontown, Ohio, Brian (Marla) Little of Tampa, Florida, Chris (Kim) Little of St. Augustine, Florida, Patrick (Ashley) Little of McKenzie, Tennessee, Sarah Vickery of Nashville, Tennessee, Todd (Emily) Obergoenner of Cape Girardeau, Clay (Dixie) Obergoenner of Jackson, Danny Lee (Amy) Dewrock of Jackson, Danielle (Larry) Driskell of Cape Girardeau and Jared (Michelle Stewart) Dewrock of Jackson; and 24 great-grandchildren, with one due in August.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, six sisters and two grandchildren, Lindsey Vickery and Joe Bill Little.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Brian Straus officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to Multiple Sclerosis Society, Birthright or a charity of choice.
