HENRY BRANDS

ORAN -- Henry Leo Brands, 87, Oran Route 1, died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born May 8, 1911, at Leopold, son of John and Bernadine Brauer Brands. He and Viola Regina Dirnberger were married Nov. 22, 1941. She died Dec. 27, 1998.

Brands was a self-employed farmer. He was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church, St. Joseph Sodality, and charter member of Knights of Columbus Council 4311.

Survivors include two daughters, Stella Reinagel of Kelso, Anita Wubker of Oran; a brother, Ted Brands of Portageville; two sisters, Stella Welker and Louise Hulshof of Gordonville; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran after 4 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7, with KC rosary at 7:30.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Guardian Angel Church, with the Rev. Normand Varone officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
