Henry "Leonard" Perry, 94, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Aug. 6, 2010, at the Missouri Veteran's Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Oct. 8, 1915, at Oriole, to Henry Joseph and Minnie Farrow Perry.
He and Orene Jo Wagner Perry were married Oct. 8, 1948, at Piggott, Ark.
Mr. Perry was an Army veteran who served his country during World War II and was a member of VFW Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau. He was a 3rd degree Mason with St. Mark Lodge 93. He had been a member of Iona Baptist Church more than 40 years and was currentl a member at Red Star Baptist Church.
He belonged to the Aero Space Union more than 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Orene Jo Perry, of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Patricia Jo Brooks and husband, Edward of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Clarence Perry of Ocala, Fla.; a grandchild, Todd Brooks and wife, Rachel, of Jackson; a great-grandchild, Sierra Brooks; and a sister-in-law, Helen Ann Perry of Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Joe Perry; and two sisters, Helen Kaempfe and Etta Huey.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating.
Burial will follow at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to Missouri Veterans Home.
