MARBLE HILL -- Herbert Wesbecher of Marble Hill died Friday, Dec. 13, 1991, at the family home. He was 67.

He was born in Houston, Ill., on May 17, 1924, the son of John and Rosa Schneider Wesbecher.

He married Lucille Daugherty. She survives in Marble Hill.

He is also survived by three sons, John Strickland of St. Peters, Ronald Wesbecher and Donald Wesbecher, both of Marble Hill; one brother, Ronald Wesbecher of St. Louis; one sister, Gladys Nitzsche of Walsh, Ill.; and five grandchildren.

Wesbecher was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

He was a retired carpenter and moved to the area in 1970 from St. Louis. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Leopold and was a fourth degree knight of St. Isidore Knights of Columbus Council 5898.

Visitation will be after 3 p.m. today at the Liley Funeral Home of Marble Hill. Parish prayers will be at 7:30 p.m., and a Knights of Columbus rosary will be at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St John's Church in Leopold, with the Rev. Michael Casteel and the Rev. Randy Poole officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
