PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Herbert A. "Bun" Wilburn, 99, of Perryville died Wednesday, June 6, 2007, at Perry Oaks Manor.
He was born Feb. 13, 1908, near Sikeston, Mo., son of Benjamin Franklin and Mamie Ellen Turner Wilburn. He and Opal Lee Berry were married Feb. 24, 1934. She died Nov. 23, 1989.
Wilburn worked at Mississippi Lime Co. in Ste. Genevieve, Mo., from 1928 to 1943. He was a farmer and trader in the Patton, Mo., area before moving to Perryville in 1985.
Survivors include a nephew, Kenny Griffon of Glenallen, Mo.; four nieces, Nancy Miller of Peoria, Ill., Thelma Pinson of Robertsville, Mo., Clorabelle McDaniel of Ste. Genevieve, Delores Carter of Michigan; and a friend, Mary Meier of Perryville.
He was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Liley Funeral Home in Patton.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dr. Sharon Howard officiating. Burial will be in Reagan Chapel Cemetery near Patton.
