JONESBORO, Ill. -- Hollie E. Treece, 80, of Jonesboro died Friday, Sept. 11, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born Aug. 29, 1918, at Jonesboro, the son of Frank and Nora Harris Treece. He married Ruby J. Garrett on Oct. 20, 1941, at Jackson. Mo. She died Jan. 8, 1991...

JONESBORO, Ill. -- Hollie E. Treece, 80, of Jonesboro died Friday, Sept. 11, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Aug. 29, 1918, at Jonesboro, the son of Frank and Nora Harris Treece.

He married Ruby J. Garrett on Oct. 20, 1941, at Jackson. Mo. She died Jan. 8, 1991.

He was a retired carpenter and a veteran of World War II.

He is survived by a daughter, Beverly Mayberry of Jonesboro; two sons Jack and Danny Treece, both of Jonesboro; a sister, Mildred Kelley of Jonesboro; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and four brothers.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m. today at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna. Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Charles Mitchell officiating. Interment will be in the Kelley Cemetery with graveside military honors performed by the Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455 of Anna.
