CHAFFEE -- Homer C. Imhoff of Chaffee died Friday, Nov. 27, 1998, at his home. He was 89. He was born June 19, 1909, son of Leonard T. and Margaret Reichrath Imhoff. He married Henrietta Davis May 2, 1931, at Brookfield. She died March 28, 1984. He married Evelyn Smalley Davis May 7, 1987. She survives...

CHAFFEE -- Homer C. Imhoff of Chaffee died Friday, Nov. 27, 1998, at his home. He was 89.

He was born June 19, 1909, son of Leonard T. and Margaret Reichrath Imhoff. He married Henrietta Davis May 2, 1931, at Brookfield. She died March 28, 1984. He married Evelyn Smalley Davis May 7, 1987. She survives.

He worked in the shoe industry for 48 years and was in management for the Brown Shoe Co. in Murphysboro, Ill., and in Brookfield and Charleston in Missouri.

He later worked at Sports Specialty Shoemakers in Chaffee and subsequently retired in 1975 as plant manager of the Florsheim Shoe Co. in Chaffee.

He was a member of the Chaffee City Council and mayor pro tem, past president of the Chaffee Rotary Club and a member of the Chaffee Chamber of Commerce.

He is survived by a son, Harry J. Imhoff of Cape Girardeau; two stepsons, Robert Davis of Flat Rock, Mich., and Homer Davis of West Branch, Mich.; two daughters, Kryn Graser Kielhofner of Scott City and Margaret C. Felton of Camdenton; two stepdaughters, Dorothia Begeman of Caro, Mich., and Maryjane Davis of Madison, Tenn; a brother, Eugene Imhoff of Carbondale, Ill; three sisters, Gladys Bitner and Leona Crowell, both of Murphysboro, and Margaret Lee Benton of Carbondale; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Amick-Burnett Funeral chapel, with the Rev. Larry Gray officiating.

Burial will be at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
