Irmina K. Niswonger, 85, 1105 Linden, died Thursday, June 4, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 15, 1906, at New Hamburg, daughter of John and Rovina Wolters Hahn. She married Norman Niswonger in October 1927, in Cape Girardeau. He died Oct. 13, 1961.
Niswonger worked 20 years at International Shoe Co., was a cook at Blue Note Cafe five years, and a cook on a riverboat 10 years.
She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, American Legion Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary.
Survivors include a son, Joseph Niswonger of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Dorothy Willmann of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a daughter.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. The Rev. Michael Zoellner will officiate, with burial in Fairmount Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7:30.
