HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. -- Jackie Sue Stroder Johnson, 82, of Hillsborough passed away Monday, April 5, 2021, at Treyburn Rehabilitation Center. She was born Sept. 1, 1938, in Whitewater to Hilbert and Francis Huffman Stroder. She and Charles "Sonny" Johnson were married July 22, 1978, at Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death Nov. 2, 1992...

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. -- Jackie Sue Stroder Johnson, 82, of Hillsborough passed away Monday, April 5, 2021, at Treyburn Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Sept. 1, 1938, in Whitewater to Hilbert and Francis Huffman Stroder. She and Charles "Sonny" Johnson were married July 22, 1978, at Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death Nov. 2, 1992.

She was a member of First Pentecostal Church in Durham, North Carolina.

Jackie had two children: one son, Dennis Craft, who preceded her in death, and one daughter, Debbie Wright, who resides in Hillsborough. Also surviving are four siblings, MaryLou Stroder Estes of Jackson; Kelly Stroder of Hillsboro, Missouri; Ken Stroder of Fenton, Missouri; and Kathy Stroder Bast of De Soto, Missouri; five grandchildren, Stacie Coleman, Nicole Tilton, Jason Craft, Nicholas Wright and Andrew Wright; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Wayne Stroder; and a grandson, Anthony Wright.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Tim Lee officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to a charity of choice.
