Jacque LeMone, 61, of Columbia, former Cape Girardeau businessman and Southeast Missouri State University employee, died Friday, March 20, 1998, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
He was born Jan. 18, 1937, in Columbia, son of David V. and Margaret H. Meyer LeMone. He and Priscilla Aird were married June 2, 1962.
LeMone was a 1955 graduate of Hickman High School, and received a bachelor of science degree in business administration from the University of Missouri in 1962.
He worked in marketing with Skelley Oil Co. 17 years, owned and operated Rhodes City Truck Plaza in Cape Girardeau eight years, and was business manager with Southeast University's Athletic Department eight years.
LeMone moved to Columbia six years ago from Cape Girardeau. He was a member of Calvary Episcopal Church, Elks and Masonic lodges in Cape Girardeau, and was a life member of Optimist Club.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Gordon LeMone of Columbia; a daughter, Jackie LeMone of Columbia; two brothers, Charles LeMone of Houston, Texas, Robert LeMone of Columbia; a sister, Margaret Gilman of Boulder, Colo.; and a grandchild.
There is no visitation or service.
