ESSEX -- James Allen Grace, 65, of Benton, Ky., died Monday, Oct. 23, 1995, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.

He was born March 16, 1930, in Essex, son of Edgar Earl and Leora Ross Grace. He and Thelma Grace Johnson were married Jan. 11, 1948, in Morehouse.

Grace was a mechanic and shop foreman at Amoco Oil Co. Terminal in Rochelle, Ill., 25 years.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Roger Grace of Greensboro, N.C., Tabb Grace of Murray, Ky.; two daughters, Annette Myers of Benton, Gayla Strange of Paw Paw, Ill.; five brothers, Ed Grace and James Tanner of Sikeston, Preston Tanner of Phoenix, Ariz., Otis Tanner of Chattanooga, Tenn., Bill Grace of Oregon, Ill.; four sisters, Sammy Thomann of Sikeston, Rose Hill of Dexter, Carolyn Wilson of Doniphan, Debbie Adkins of Poplar Bluff; eight grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5-8 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Revs. Tim Cole and Amos Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Blodgett Cemetery at Blodgett.
