James "Boomer" Cossiboom, 48, of Scott City died Tuesday, May 2, 2006, at Methodist Germantown Hospital in Germantown, Tenn.
He was born Sept. 24, 1957, in Cape Girardeau, son of Henry Alonzo and Bessie Arleen Huffman Cossiboom. He and Jane Renee Dunlap were married Dec. 5, 1992.
Cossiboom was an engineer with Burlington Northern & Santa Fe Railway Co. in Chaffee. He was a member of Chaffee Elks Lodge 1810.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Bryan Cossiboom of Branson, Mo., Tyler Cossiboom of Scott City; two daughters, Abby Burch of Springfield, Mo., Krystal Enderle of Scott City; his mother and stepfather, Arleen and Loyd Tipsword of Scott City; a sister, Linda (Bob) Bentley of Springfield, Ill.; and his father-and mother-in-law, David and Syble Dunlap of Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, Mo., after 4 p.m. today. An Elks service will be held at 7.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Joe Hudson officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Union Park Cemetery at Chaffee.
Pallbearers will be Kevin James, Robert Hodo, Ronnie Ressel Sr., Mike "Red" Griffin, Terry Curtis, Mark Ballard and Danny Loucks.
