PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Pastor James P. Duncan II, 83, of Perryville died Friday, Oct. 18, 2002, at Perry County Memorial Hospital. He was born Nov. 19, 1918, at St. Louis, son of Robert Cole and Theodora Conzelman Duncan. He and Shirley L. Simmons were married Oct. 16, 1950...

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Pastor James P. Duncan II, 83, of Perryville died Friday, Oct. 18, 2002, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

He was born Nov. 19, 1918, at St. Louis, son of Robert Cole and Theodora Conzelman Duncan. He and Shirley L. Simmons were married Oct. 16, 1950.

He was a Presbyterian minister. He was pastor emeritus of the Presbyterian Church in Perryville and Brazeau, Mo., a World War II Army Air Corps veteran, member of the Ministerial Alliance and served as a director on a variety of community organization boards.

Survivors include one son, James P. Duncan of Perryville; one daughter, Candace Fair of Perryville; one sister, Mary Marquis of San Rafael, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter and one brother.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday or from 6:30 to 10:15 a.m. Wednesday.

A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the 1st Presbyterian Church in Perryville, with the Revs. Tom Bass, Jerry McBride and Bill Allen officiating.
