OAK RIDGE -- James E. Girard, 54, of Oak Ridge, died Tuesday, June 28, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Nov. 26, 1939, in Nashville, Tenn., son of Elbert and Louise McAdams Girard. He and Virginia Ahrens were married Dec. 26, 1972, at Friedheim.

Girard worked a number of years at Atlas Plastics in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jamie and Joe Girard of Oak Ridge; a stepson, Jeff Ahrens of Oak Ridge; his father and stepmother, Elbert and Ella Girard of Nokomis, Fla.; three brothers, Harold Girard of Marshall, Douglas Girard of Rolla, Ward Girard of Ft. Washington, Md.; a stepbrother, Albert Rollins of Nokomis, and a stepsister, Elizabeth Rollins of Nokomis.

Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Johnny Seabaugh officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
