Jean Wibbenmeyer, 89, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, at Life Care Center of Cape Girardeau. She was born Nov. 23, 1928, in Cape Girardeau to Harold G. and Gertrude Swan Green Sr. She married Clemens "Pete" Wibbenmeyer on June 18, 1949, at Old St. Vincent Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau...

Jean Wibbenmeyer, 89, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, at Life Care Center of Cape Girardeau.

She was born Nov. 23, 1928, in Cape Girardeau to Harold G. and Gertrude Swan Green Sr. She married Clemens "Pete" Wibbenmeyer on June 18, 1949, at Old St. Vincent Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau.

She had worked for Saint Francis Medical Center for 15 years and for Dr. Marshall Young for 15 years, retiring from Drury Industries.

Jean was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, St. Mary Lady Auxiliary and was a Eucharistic minister for 10 years. She volunteer at Saint Francis Medical Center.

Survivors include two sons, Gary S. (Jane) Wibbenmeyer of Brentwood, Missouri, and Mark G. Wibbenmeyer of Austin, Texas; two daughters, Brenda Graham of Cape Girardeau and Denise (Stephen) Lavender of Austin; two sisters, Haroletta (Larry) Schlimme of Burfordville and Mary Jane Gonzales of Cape Girardeau; a daughter-in-law, Karma Wibbenmeyer of Austin; six grandchildren, Kana (Mike) Henning, Rebecca Wibbenmeyer, Jason Wibbenmeyer, Megan (Leo) Lujan, Madelyn Wibbenmeyer and Nathan Graham; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Karen Wibbenmeyer; son, Ricky Wibbenmeyer; and brother, Harold G. Green Jr.

Visitation was held Sunday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Cathedral, with the Rev. Allan Saunders officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Resurrection Cemetery in St. Louis.
