PUXICO -- Jennie Ann McClure, 91, of Puxico died Monday, Sept. 2, 1996, at Puxico Nursing Center.

She was born Oct. 5, 1904, at Puxico, daughter of E.L. and Samantha Looney Hawks. She and Reuben E. McClure were married Feb. 25, 1926, in Lepanto, Ark. He died Jan. 8, 1979.

McClure lived in Little Rock, Ark., 45 years and was retired from State of Arkansas Motor Vehicle Department. She returned to the Puxico area in 1973. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Puxico.

Survivors include four sons, Robert McClure of Conway, Ark., David McClure of Hot Springs Village, Ark., Louis McClure of Little Rock, James McClure of Tyler, Texas; a daughter, Bettye Staples of Puxico; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and nine sisters.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico after 7 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Steve Smith officiating. Burial will be in Puxico Cemetery.
