Jennie Christina Tyler, 95, of Scott City died Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Mo. She was born Oct. 3, 1912, at Wolf Lake, Ill., daughter of Harrison Oliver and Minnie Mae Hill Sanders. She and Ernest Clayton Tyler were married Feb. 1, 1928, at Illmo. He died May 3, 1990...

Jennie Christina Tyler, 95, of Scott City died Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Mo.

She was born Oct. 3, 1912, at Wolf Lake, Ill., daughter of Harrison Oliver and Minnie Mae Hill Sanders. She and Ernest Clayton Tyler were married Feb. 1, 1928, at Illmo. He died May 3, 1990.

Tyler was a machine operator at Ely Walker. She attended the Church on the Rock in Sikeston, Mo. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Scott City and had taught Sunday school.

Survivors include four sons, Thomas Tyler of Mesquite, Texas, James Tyler of Benton, Mo., Robert Tyler of Scott City, Michael Tyler of Columbus, Miss.; two daughters, Ada Hill of Joliet, Ill., Mary Alice Tyler of Chaffee; a brother, Barney Jackson of Festus, Mo.; a sister, Marie Vandergraph of Alto Pass, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister and a grandchild.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Revs. Curtis True and Bill Vandergraph officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery.
