CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Jerry Lynn Bone, 67, of Charleston died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2003, at his home.
He was born Dec. 19, 1935, in Charleston, son of Jack and Helen Brown Bone. He and Judith Ann Mohundro were married April 21, 1962.
Bone was a carrier with U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, VFW Post 4294, and the former Charleston Jaycees.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served with Missouri National Guard.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jon Bone of Denver, Colo., Scott Bone of state of Oregon; his mother of Charleston; two brothers, David Bone of McKenzie, Tenn., Ronnie Bone of Southaven, Miss.; a sister, JoAnn Lyons of Dallas, Texas; five nieces whom he raised, Jessica, Lauren and Leah Welch, all of Wyatt, Mo., Angele McHarry of Cape Girardeau, Katie Smith of Charleston; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, two brothers, and two sisters.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Knights of Columbus rites will be at 7.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Henry Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, with military graveside rites by Missouri Military Funeral Honors Program.
