ORAN, Mo. -- Jessie Lola Shrum Urhahn, 87, of Oran passed away Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Missouri. She was born Aug. 9, 1927, in Sikeston, Missouri, to Jesse E. and Frances Black Shrum. She married Francis A. Urhahn on Feb. 7, 1948...

ORAN, Mo. -- Jessie Lola Shrum Urhahn, 87, of Oran passed away Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Missouri.

She was born Aug. 9, 1927, in Sikeston, Missouri, to Jesse E. and Frances Black Shrum. She married Francis A. Urhahn on Feb. 7, 1948.

Jessie was a retired baker. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Oran and a member of a Sunday school class.

Survivors include her husband, Francis of the home; two sons, Michael Urhahn of Berkeley, Missouri, Dennis (Marcella) Urhahn of Athens, Alabama; three daughters, LaDonna (Richard) Boss of Whitewater, Melissa Clang of Arnold, Missouri, and Belinda Webb of Oran; two brothers, Sam Shrum of Jackson and Jim Shrum of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Jean Gilliland and Joy Baker of Jackson; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, William Urhahn; a grandson, Joshua Urhahn; three brothers, Clyde, Bill and Jake Shrum; two sisters, Arcelle Korzen and Kathreen Hammer; a daughter-in-law, Bernice Urhahn; and a son-in-law William Clang.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of service Monday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley, Missouri.
