Jimmy Jackson Bowers, 1014 Bloomfield Road, Cape Girardeau, died Tuesday, June 2, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. He was 78.
He was born Jan. 26, 1914, to Dennis and Mary Jane Bowers. He married Theria Montez on June 3, 1944. She survives of the home.
He was a veteran of the U.S. army and was a butcher for 33 years. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include a son, James Norman Farrar of Cape Girardeau, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren,
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hills Cemetery southeast of Advance.
