THEBES, Ill. -- E. Joan Cook, 72, of Thebes died Saturday, April 25, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Jan. 1, 1926, at Seneedsville, Tenn., daughter of Emory and Ida Elizabeth Wilson Minor. She and Louis Cook were married March 11, 1961, at Chicago...

THEBES, Ill. -- E. Joan Cook, 72, of Thebes died Saturday, April 25, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Jan. 1, 1926, at Seneedsville, Tenn., daughter of Emory and Ida Elizabeth Wilson Minor. She and Louis Cook were married March 11, 1961, at Chicago.

She owned and operated J.C. Ceramics in Thebes for several years.

Survivors include her husband and two sisters, Pearl Dunn of Kingsport, Tenn., and Mary Oviatt of Chicago.

She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

There will be no services.

Arrangements are being made by Ford and Sons Funeral Home.
