SIKESTON -- Joe Mills, 67, of Sikeston, died Monday, July 26, 1993, at Missouri Delta Medical Center. He was born April 16, 1926, at Flat River, son of Emmett and Clara Powell Mills. He and Byrdine Parsons were married April 9, 1950. Mills was a member of Pipefitters Local 562, Sikeston Masonic Lodge 310, and Order of Eastern Star 137. He was a veteran of World War II...

SIKESTON -- Joe Mills, 67, of Sikeston, died Monday, July 26, 1993, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born April 16, 1926, at Flat River, son of Emmett and Clara Powell Mills. He and Byrdine Parsons were married April 9, 1950.

Mills was a member of Pipefitters Local 562, Sikeston Masonic Lodge 310, and Order of Eastern Star 137. He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Danny Mills of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Karen Ramsey of Nashville, Tenn., Myra Krider of Pinehurst, N.C.; a brother, Willard Mills of St. Louis; a sister, Sybil Dawson of Hardy, Ark., and two grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Ponder Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today. Masonic rites will be at 7:30, followed by Eastern Star service.
