SIKESTON -- Funeral for Joe Ruff of Addison, Ill., will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Rev. Garry Zook will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call at the chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.
Ruff, 66, died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 1998, at Westlake Community Hospital in Melrose Park, Ill.
He was born Aug. 6, 1932, in Jerusalem, Ark., son of Altus Paul and Cleo Beavers Ruff. He and Jewellene Kelso were married April 26, 1959, at Salcedo.
Ruff retired from Ram Golf Club Manufacturing Co. in Melrose Park, where he was a polisher and foreman 28 years. He moved to Addison from Sikeston in 1959.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife; three brothers, Marvin, Elbert and William Ruff, all of Sikeston; five sisters, Lorene Edwards and June Burnette of Sikeston, Ruth Holman of Matthews, Reba McDonald and Alma Curry of Benton.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
