SIKESTON, Mo. -- Joella Edmond, 90, of Sikeston died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2001, at Clearview Nursing Home.

She was born Aug. 14, 1911, in Montgomery, Miss., daughter of Tom and Lola Shelton Rutledge. She and Jessie Edmond Sr. were married Nov. 11, 1950, in Grenada County, Miss.

Edmond was a member of Mount Calvary Church at Parma, Mo.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Jessie Edmond Jr. of Diehlstadt, Mo.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call at Rainey Funeral Home in Bernie, Mo., from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Funeral will be at noon Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. L.J. Nabors will officiate. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery at Malden, Mo.
