JOHN MARTIN JR.
PERRYVILLE -- John W. Martin Jr., 78, of Perryville died Monday, March 10, 1997, at Perry County Memorial Hospital. He was born July 4, 1918, in Perry County, son of John W. and Myrtle Weisbrod Martin. Martin was a retired construction worker. He was a member of Brazeau Presbyterian Church, Eagles Aerie, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and an Amvets booster...PERRYVILLE -- John W. He was born July 4, 1918, in Perry County, son of John W. and Myrtle Weisbrod Martin.
Martin was a retired construction worker. He was a member of Brazeau Presbyterian Church, Eagles Aerie, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and an Amvets booster.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ventimiglia of St. Louis, Gloria Sherrill of Frohna; three sons, Vest Martin of Chicago, Doug and Dean Martin of Perryville; two sisters, Helen Anthony of Poplar Bluff, Imogene Blechle of Perryville; a brother, Robert "Tex" Martin of Frohna; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, granddaughter, brother and sister.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m. today, and Wednesday from 6:30-8:15 a.m.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Brazeau Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Thomas Bass officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
