BENTON -- Funeral service for John Thomas Miederhoff of Waterloo, Ill., will be held at 10 a.m. today at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Waterloo. The Rev. Francis Sayer will officiate.

De Fabio Funeral Home in Waterloo is in charge of arrangements.

Miederhoff, 85, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 1994, in a Waterloo nursing home.

He was born Sept. 9, 1908, in Benton, son of Anton and Mary Dannenmueller Miederhoff. He was formerly of Sikeston and St. John's.

Miederhoff was a member of Our Lady of Presentation Catholic Church in Overland, Holy Name Society, and was a 3rd Degree with Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his wife, Anna; a daughter, Mary Voracek of Waterloo; three sons, John Miederhoff of Hawk Point, William Miederhoff of Brentwood, Gerry Miederhoff of Reston, Va.; a sister, Ann Hoeller of Sikeston; 14 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
