PRINCEVILLE, Ill. -- John Williams, 65, of Princeville, formerly of Bollinger County, Mo., died Wednesday, May 11, 2005, at home.

He was born Dec. 31, 1939, at Peoria, Ill., son of John Harvey and Phoebe Ellen Miller Williams. He and Connie Sherrill were married July 21, 1996, in Princeville.

Williams graduated from Illinois State University at Normal. He owned and operated an insurance business in Springfield, Ill., and in Bollinger County. He was a member of Romans 1513 Ministries and a former member of First Presbyterian Church, both of Princeville.

Survivors include his wife; two stepsons, Rodney Miller of Germantown Hills, Ill., Robert Miller of Rorschach, Switzerland; a stepdaughter, Renee Langdon of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Lois Niedermeier of Rock City, Ill., Edith Kline of West Lafayette, Ind.; and five stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Fairview United Methodist Church in Millersville, Mo.

Funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the church, with Rev. Jimmie Corbin officiating. Burial will be in Fairview United Methodist Church Cemetery.
