Jon Steven "Buck" McNeely, 63, of Cape Girardeau County died unexpectedly Sunday, Jan. 7, 2024, at his home.

He was born Sept. 27, 1960, in Cape Girardeau to Bob and Sharon Wieser McNeely. He and LaDonna Kay Sims were married April 18, 1991, in Las Vegas.

Buck was a graduate of Hughson High School in Hughson, California, and attended Southeast Missouri State University.

He was CEO and president of Outdoorsman International and Timberwolf Productions.

He was a member of Lynwood Baptist Church and Dallas Safari Club, and a lifetime member of National Rifle Association.

Buck was an avid reader, Christian patriot and strong leader who believed in God and his country and stood up for gun rights.

He was also a great father and husband.

Survivors include his wife, LaDonna McNeely, and two sons, Max (fiance, Samantha Landers) McNeely and Rex McNeely, all of Cape Girardeau County; father, Bob McNeely of Marble Hill; mother, Sharon (Bob) Searls of Modesto, California; sister, Lori Jean (David) McCormick of Marble Hill; mother-in-law, Betty McCormick, and her husband, Neal, a World War II veteran; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral will follow at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Anderson officiating.

Memorial contributions may be given to Lynwood Christian Academy.
