Jonathan M. Reeser, 44, of Everett, Wash., died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue, Wash.

He was born Oct. 7, 1963.

Jonathan graduated from Webster County High School in Kentucky in 1982. He worked for the Los Angeles Police Department, then moved to Cape Girardeau, where he received a bachelor's degree from Southeast Missouri State University. While attending, he was a founding father of Mu Kappa Chapter of Sigma Mu fraternity.

He received a law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and in 2000 moved to the Seattle, Wash., area where he worked for the Department of Corrections at Clallam Correctional Facility, then transferred to Monroe, Wash., to work as a counselor.

He is survived by dear friends, Aaron and Chasidy Jones of Cape Girardeau, Kevin and Cheryl Market of Jackson, and Mark Hansen of Seattle.

Flintoff's Funeral Home in Issaquah, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.

A memorial service in celebration of Jonathan's life will be held at 2 p.m. April 19, 2008, at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 2222 Kingsway Drive in Cape Girardeau. All who knew and loved him are invited to attend.

After the service, interment will be in Issaquah.
