CHAFFEE -- Josephine O. Eichhorn, 77, of Chaffee died Tuesday, April 6, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 24, 1922, at New Hamburg, daughter of Ulrich and Alma Amanda Pobst Uhrhan. She and Clyde A. Eichhorn were married July 15, 1944. He died Dec. 23, 1996.
Eichhorn was retired from Florsheim Shoe Co. in Chaffee. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Daughters of St. Ambrose, Ladies Auxiliary to Elks Lodge 1819, and Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 3127.
Survivors include four sons, Ronald, Gilbert, Michael and Clyde Eichhorn; two daughters, Barbara Simpson and Deborah Powderly; a brother, Leroy Uhrhan; a sister, Virginia Sides, all of Chaffee; 20 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, four brothers, and three sisters.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 5 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Ambrose Church, with the Rev. Ralph Duffner officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
