Joyce Barnett, 80, of Scott City died Monday, July 7, 2014, at her home. She was born Sept. 13, 1933, in St. Louis, to Alvie Thomas and Oneita Faye Davis Mincher. Joyce Barnett, 80, of Scott City died Monday, July 7, 2014, at her home.

She was born Sept. 13, 1933, in St. Louis, to Alvie Thomas and Oneita Faye Davis Mincher. She married Billy Gene Barnett Sr. Feb. 2, 1952.

Joyce was a real estate agent.

She is survived by her husband, Billy of Scott City; two sons, Billy (Mary) Barnett Jr. of Scott City and Alan (Charlene) Barnett of Chamois, Missouri; a daughter, Diana Masterson of Scott City; a sister, Jackie (Charles) Miget of St. Charles, Missouri; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister and a grandchild.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Rennie Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
