McCLURE, Ill. -- Judith Ann "Judy" Dunn, 68, of McClure died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born Aug. 31, 1948, in Cairo, Illinois, to Harold Edwards and Wanda Johnson. She and Richard Dunn were married Feb. 18, 1967, at East Alton, Illinois.

Judy worked for Thorngate Ltd. in Cape Girardeau as a seamstress for several years before she became disabled.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was also loved and appreciated by many friends and will be greatly missed.

Judy was a member of McClure Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Dunn of McClure; two sons, Richard Dunn Jr. of Cape Girardeau and Joey Dunn of Rineyville, Kentucky; a daughter, Leslie Dunn of Streamwood, Illinois; three brothers, Marvin Edwards of Brighton, Illinois, Paul "Pete" Edwards of Bethalto, Illinois, and David Terry Edwards of Reno, Nevada; a sister, Thelma Grisham of Campbellsville, Kentucky; and three grandchildren, Christopher, Brandon and Jesse Dunn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Wanda Edwards; a brother, Jimmie Edwards; and two sisters, Francis and Janet.

Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Cathy Hobbs officiating. Burial will be at Lindsey Cemetery in McClure.
