BALLWIN, Mo. -- Judith C. Dettmer Scott, 78, of Ballwin passed away Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born Aug. 22, 1943, in Patton, Missouri, daughter of Charles and Dorothy Myers Dettmer. She married Thomas Scott in March 1973.
Judy was part of the Gospel Singing Missourians in her early years, playing the piano and singing. She loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and family. She was a member of the Fellowship of Wildwood.
Survivors include her husband, Tom, of the home; sons, Michael (Tammy) Liley of Marble Hill, Missouri, Eric (Lisa) Scott of Lake St. Louis, Missouri, and Aaron (Molly) Scott of Ashland, Oregon; daughters, Sherri (Jim) Michaels and Kim (Bob) Besterfeldt, both of St. Louis; mother, Dorothy Dettmer of Farmington, Missouri; sisters, Ronda Parke of Farmington and Ruthann (Doug) Steimle of New Concord, Kentucky; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Judy was preceded in death by her father, Charles, and son, Christopher Liley.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Liley Funeral Home in Patton, and then from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Schrader Funeral Home in Ballwin.
Burial will follow in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
